This week was all about revising my Single Generation Type booklet.
I began with breaking up the linearity of my spread composition. This was achieved by pushing the caption slightly closer to the center of the page while leaving the page numbers up against the bottom left margin. Although it isn't that big of a change, I'd say it was worth it for the sake of visual appeal.
I also added a handful of new spreads. There is now clear devision between each section with the introduction of spreads that display closeups of my AI generated phrases. The front and back covers are in a more refined state than they were when I last showed them in class. I also decided to change the title from "Make AI Your Bytch" to "Prompted Type" because I thought it fit better.

Furthering my exploration into the spoons, I took a small sample of other people on what they perceive the spoon as. In this sample, despite it being small, most people seem to have the same first reactions I did to the prompt of "drawing a spoon from memory".
I got the idea to start tracing things in my environment on acetate with an expo marker, to make a visual soup sort of thing. Some have applied meaning added in later with text.
I started to transition my spoons into color. I initially thought that the entire piece would be in full color, but I started to like how the process and the functionality of the spoons were highlighted by keeping them in grayscale. I then wanted to remove the spoon from the sequence, I'm not sure where I was or plan on going with that but I think it was a fun experiment regardless.
After our last class and the feedback I received, I decided to take a different approach and see things from another angle. So, I’ve set it up to connect just like the real map, but it’s on its own paper. I’m looking to recreate the design I made for Eleuthera, using the island’s signature features as a texture or pattern against the dark blue background.
