Today I finished putting the last two hybrid signs into the real world. This time it was a No Smoking sign and Smoking Area sign.
Now that I'm done with these mockups, I want to focus on bringing these signs to life. One idea that appealed to me was to create 18 x 24 inch inkjet prints and adhere them to a sturdier surface like foam board. If I really want to run my pockets, I could also try printing them on metal and mounting them to actual sign posts.
My third idea is somewhat of a combination of the previous two. Perhaps I could make smaller prints and stick them inside the gallery's signs as part of a nonsensical way-finding installation?
I'm not sure quite yet but I'll think about it over the long weekend.
